Ms. Chagnon’s legal practice is focused on business transactions, litigation, commercial disputes, and intellectual property matters. Before joining Cohen Business Law Group, she gained extensive experience in private plaintiff-side civil litigation, specializing in torts, and drafting numerous motions and briefs in preparation for mediation and trial. Ms. Chagnon also served as an intern at the Culver City City Attorney's Office, where she collaborated closely with city attorneys, conducting legal research, analyzing key issues, and compiling reports on matters important to municipal law and city governance.
Ms. Chagnon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from UCLA, graduating with Latin honors. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from UC Hastings (now UC Law SF), where she was an active leader as both president and treasurer of the Law and Intellectual Property Association. During law school, she also worked as a research assistant for two professors, gaining invaluable experience. Ms. Chagnon was honored with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® for achieving the highest grade in her writing seminar, where she wrote a paper on intellectual property rights in the EU as they relate to cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, and non-fungible tokens.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Chagnon enjoys drawing, tie-dying, creating new recipes, going to the gym, spending time with family, and travelling.
